How does nvidia and ati like in image quality? i can't make up my mind
on my next purchase. It been almost 2 mount that i'm looking for the
write card but i can't chose.

Here are the cards that i'm struggling whit.
the 7600gt xxx from xfx
the x1600xt bravo from power color
Or maybe the x1800gto but it's a bit to expensive for the fps that it
give.

I know that the 7600gt i a performer in game over ati, like the
x1600xt or even with the x1800gto but what's holding me is the quality
of image given by the cards.

i'm a ati fan and for my next purchase i found that ati card can't
compete much for the price they are sold vs nvidia.

So the main question is, will i notice a difference in image quality
if there is still one with today's videocards.

If you're an ATI fan, stick to the X1000 series cards - and they will
become cheaper if you wait a day or two.

Hmmm your comment suggest that in a few days there will be a new ati
card on the market and thus lowering the current price of others card
in the same range of performance and lower ones.

Do you have any info on that ?
And where it will sold that same card???

Image quality *should* be identical, now that every reviewer is sensitive to
"cheating" optimizations in drivers.

The X1x00 series can do HDR lighting with FSAA, though the X1600 may not be
fast enough to take advantage of it practically.

In the past NVIDIA did not care much about what card manufacturers used
for image quality for card based on their GPUs.
But NVIDIA somehow motivated them to do better
NVIDIA based cards have improved their 2D quality over the past few years.
I once tried (in 1992-3) a PNY 5200 card, which had just as good 2D as my
Sapphire 9100.
So I would say you would happy with the 2D of a NVIDIA based card.

ATI has better image quality in 3D games, especially if you are going to
be using anti aliasing and anisio filtering. And you are better off buying
an X850XT than either the X1300 or X1600. It is faster than both those
cards. I wouldn't waste my money on an X1000 series card unless it was an
X1800 or X1900.

Thanks. But i find out that the sapphire x1800gto was sold at the
same price of a 7600gt.

So base on that i now have quality image and fps and a video in entry.
I just hope that sapphire have a good quality product and also that it
can give what it's been write on the net.

Yea, that's a decent choice. Sapphire make good cards, in fact, they make
the built by ATI cards too.

Just switched from 6800 to X800 XT PE and image quality was far
better with the ATI card. Much better, but one generation behind what
you are looking at.

I have alway had Nvidia cards but my new PC came with ATI PCI-E card. The
image quality on the ATI was plan amazing compared to my old Nvidia.
