How do you use SysPrep to ONLY change SID and Computername on template PC?

Hi,

All I want the Sysprep tool to do is let me change the SID and
Computer name of a template PC to 4 other PC's.

Can someone tell me what the command line switches are
to do that?

I have used Acronis TrueImage 9.1 to create my image but
now realize I need to run sysprep on the template pc BEFORE imaging
it.

Thanks for any help,

Regards,

Trev

Hello Trevor,

How to Use Sysprep: An Introduction
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/winxppro/deploy/introduction.mspx

For your scenario, i think the following article would be appropriate

How to Prepare Images for Disk Duplication with Sysprep

Do post back if you have any further doubts. I used sysprep extensively to
deploy Windows XP machines at my work and I had teh exact same scenario
where each computer needed to have unique computer names. Its been a while
and I dont remember the exact steps. Please follow the above mentioned
articles and should you have any doubts, I will try my best to guide you.
