Hi,

To take a snapshot/screen capture of your desktop in Windows XP, hit the
PrtSc (print screen) button on your keyboard.
The screen capture will then be saved into your clipboard.

Open up Microsoft Paint, or any other graphics editing software you have and
then simply "paste" or hit Ctrl-V and the image will come up and then you
can save the graphics file.
