How do you stop the Install certificates from popping up (Flash/Gator installs)???

Hi,

I'm using IE 6 and I'd like to know if there's anyway to shut off those
certificates that popup on some sites asking you to install their software?
Such as FLASH (Don't want to install it) And GATOR.

Is there a setting somewhere I can shut off to disable these from popping
up?

Thanks

There's a sort of tradeoff here because if you force all ActiveX to warn -
the messages for "Signed and Unsigned" look so similar you can't always
remember which to allow.

I use the template here http://www.tames.net/security/activexsettings.htm
because I'm usually surfing all over the place but a better idea for you
might be to disable all ActiveX and put sites you want in the IE "Trusted"
zone. Eric Howes has a neat util for doing this more or less on the fly. It
mean's you'll see the messages once but should not do so again after making
your choice.

Have a read of the first couple of links below and see if any solution jumps
out at you, it's obvious you have some idea what's going on (and no offense
intended but a lot of people don't and get caught) so the setting that are
causing the warnings have probably saved you quite a bit of grief..
