Hey all,
I'm a frequent victim of a browser hijack. I'm running Windows XP and have
IE6. I know how to remove the hijackers, spyware, malware, and viruses. I
know all and what do to about them. I just want to know how to prevent them
from happening over and over again. I do windows update all the time, I'm
always updating and running Spybot and Ad-aware, I update my Norton
Anti-virus, I have system restore off, and I have the "hijackthis" software.
It's really annoying that everytime I remove them and then reboot, I get
hijacked again!! I want this damn thing outta here, it's way annoying!!
Windoze software sucks!! How do you prevent your browser from getting
hijacked?? Does ZoneAlarm (the firewall) prevent it from happening? Any
suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Here's the hijacker that highjackthis keeps detecting:
"R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page =
