Hi Robin,
If you mean making the Icons Big try this Right click on an empty space on
the Desktop and select Properties from the drop down list.
On the Dispaly Properties click on Appearaance Tab then on Effects Button.
On the Effects Window check the check box;
[ ] Use large Icons
Click OK to confirm the changes and click apply on the Dispaly window
properties.
HTH.
Please let us know.

Hi Robin,
Okay, Right click on your Desktop and select Properties from the drop down
list and click on Appearance Tab and locate the option with drop down menu
list titled;
Font Size:
[Normal ] and select large Font or Extra Large Font.
HTH this what you after.

nass

nope I have in it now- Extra Large Font
that makes the ones on the desktop larger and also the startmenu but it
doesn't bold the ones in the Startmenu
It does bold it when you first click the Start- but not in
Programs/icons/folders.

That is why I am going nuts trying to find where you can bold this part

Well, under Display Properties, Appearance tab, Advanced button, there
are only a few "Item:" selections that give you the chance to change the
font to Bold. Try each till you find the one that affects the Start
Menu. There's one titled "Menu".. maybe that will affect the Start Menu.

I have tried each one and the menu one only changes the fonts in the
programs you open, not the Start Menu/programs. Believe me I have tried.
