how do you save the label you just created in word?

I create a label in Word Evelopes and label window and cannot figure out how
to save that label, so I have to re-create it every time I want to use it.
Can you tell me how to save it? Thanks
 
If you're doing a single label, you can't save it as a separate file... at
least not through this feature.

However, your request suggests that you have a continuing need to print the
same label, so why not choose the option for 'Full Page of Same Label'
rather than 'Single Label'? The New Document button will activate when you
do, then you can save as any other Word doc & print another copy when you
use up the printed labels.
