How do you save music from my music files to a powerpt. presentati

Haven't yet been able to add trackw to a ppt. presenation even after
following all the directions. Please help. What am I missing?
 
What type of music are you trying to use? which version of PowerPoint? Have you
looked here? Play sounds across multiple slides (A WAV runs through it)
