How do you migrate Express 4.0 emails to Outlook 2003??

Hello,

I have an old PC (runs win98) where I use Outlook Express
4.0 with IE 5.0. This is old stuff....

I recently got a laptop (runs XP) and would like to be
able to move my Express 4.0 inbox over to a Outlook 2003
folder where I can access the emails I have via Outlook
2003. I've got a lot of emails I want to keep and the
email address associatd with them.

Is there an easy way to do this? I did some research on
MS Knowledge Base and could not find any solution for
this. I did see some cases on .mbx and .idx but could not
tell if these were appropriate for me.

Any help is appreciated to keep my very old emails.

Thanks.

I m pretty sure this will involve installing a newer version of OE on the
old machine and opening your files in that version. However, you will get
the best results for your query in an Outlook Express group.

This is an Outlook group that provides support for Outlook from Microsoft
Office. Outlook Express is a part of Internet Explorer so you may want to
look in one of the groups listed under IE.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, Wilson Yan asked:

Milly is correct - but you ought to be running IE6SP1 on this computer
anyway which will upgrade OE to 6 - you can get it from Windows Update. You
should visit WU at least once a month anyway.
