How do you make XP laptop able to be a part of multiple work groups or domains?

I am attempting to use my laptop to connect to various networks. For instance
I will go to one office and connect to that local network and I have to set my
network up as a member of such n such workgroup to access certain network
resources and when I go to another location I have to change membership and
login info to utilize those network resources. Is there a way to set up XP
home so I can choose a profile for each network? so when I boot up my laptop
I can simply choose a login and have all those appropriate settings take effect?

If you need more than two network connection profiles, use third-party
software (if your laptop didn't come with a network manager like IBM
Thinkpads do). Here are links to a few of them:
