How do you keep timing consistent when setting slides to music?

I have created a presentation set to music using a WMA music file. Sometimes
the presentation plays perfectly, but other times the timing will be off by
1-2 seconds, which really messes up the presentation. How do I get it to
play consistently every time?

You can use some 3rd party tools to control.
Try Audio Editor to adjust sound with slides easily:

Hi Amy

There's no way to get powerpoint to accurately sync music in a normal show.
If you have eg a series of pictures with music you might wan't to try movie
maker 2 to produce a video with sound and insert that into powerpoint. The
file size may get big though especiually if you export the vid at a good
resolution.

If you have XP sp2 then you have movie maker2 so it's free!
