The Database I am trying to set up will not allow me to have more then 8
entries in a switchboard. I need at least 17 on one switchboard. How do I
overcome the 8 entrie level

thanks

That's one of the several drawbacks of using the Access Switchboard
manager to create a switchboard.
You can add more buttons, but the effort is just not worth it.

Use one of the 8 buttons to open up a second, or a third, switchboard
page, and another button on each page to go back to the main
switchboard.

A better solution would be to create your own switchboard, using an
unbound form with command buttons. If you use the Command Button
wizard when adding the buttons, Access will even write much of the
code for you. You'll have more control over it's appearance and
functionality (as well as being able to add as many buttons as you
wish), and maintenance will be much easier.
Most experienced developers use this method.

From this and other posts I suspect you're just a troll, but there is the
possibilty that you're actually incompetent and prefer to blame the tool.
