how do you get outlook to quit sending mail to newsenders folder?

I have used outlook at other places I've worked but at my new job it keeps
sending mail from new senders to and automatically created newsenders folder.
I tried deleting the folder but any new mail from a new sender causes outlook
to make the folder again. I've looked under filters but don't see anything so
it seems like just something outlook is doing.

It's not something that Outlook is doing. Do you perhaps have any add-ins
installed which could do this?
Disable them all and see if it still happens. Then you can enabled them one
by one and check the behavior of Outlook to find the culprit.
