how do you download mail in windows mail without deleting the mail

how do you download mail in windows mail without deleting the mail from the
server. i use window mail with earthlink, a web based mail mail service, and
dont want it deleted when downloaded

WM cannot access webmail, only POP3 and IMAP.
I believe EarthLink has a POP server, so you can configure WM to download,
but leave the email on the server.
Tools - Accounts - youraccount - Properties - Advanced
[x] Leave messages on server
[x] Remove messages after xx days
