how do you do a spread sheet

I am in training at EasterSeals and I have to do a calendar or report in a
spread sheet form and list the new applicants and the new terminations and
put them in different color font to distinquish the difference. I have never
worked with Excel or Word spread sheets or charts before. I need to learn
the commands and when to click on what I make all kinds of designs and cards
in Microsoft Picture It and the Print Shop, but I do not know how to get
started doing spread sheets.
 
I suspect you'll have much better luck asking in a newsgroup related to
Excel (there are many, starting microsoft.public.excel. I suspect
microsoft.public.excel.newusers might be your best bet)

This newsgroup is for questions about Access, the database product that's
part of Office Professional.
