How do you delete a message in the Outbox?

I am running Outlook 2003 and had two messages in my outbox for the last two
days. They were going no where. I have tried to delete them with no
success. Now my entire system seems to have frozen. I have an Outlook 2003
program disc that I purchased last year. I attempted to reinstall Outlook
and got several errors i.e. "C:program FIles/Microsoft
Office/OFFICE11/addin/PMAILEXT.ECF could not be installed. There is an error
in the syntax or format of the file. Also got MSSPC.ECT error." I cannot
even open Outlook now. Any help would be appreciated.

You need to be Offline to be able to delete them.

In Outlook\File select Work Offline. Once Offline go and delete the stuck emails from the delete folder.

"In Outlook, click on File->Work Offline. Completely close and reopen
Outlook. Delete the items from your outbox. Click on File->uncheck Work
Offline. Close and restart Outlook." quote by Millie...
