How do you delete 400,000 emails?

Hello,

An outlook email account set up to recevie automatically generated
emails should have been cleared out regulartly but has not.

I can't do anything through the outlook front end as it just hangs for
days.

Is there anything that can be done on the exchange server?

I'm pretty sure there are tools to empty mailboxes in Exchange, but you
should ask in the Exchange newsgroups. microsoft.public.exchange.admin

I would use Archive, but 'Delete Permanently' instead of moving to an
archive file.
