I currently got a tablet from gateway. But in Vista, it will not let you
highlight text from a website to copy and paste it somewhere else. If you
right click, it lets you select all. But in XP / or any other windows you
could highlight any text on any website and copy it. How come I can't do it
or how do i do it???

In my case I can highlight-copy-paste from any application running under
my Vista Home Premium.

The problem I have is with MS Front Page or MS Expression Web and using the
shift or Ctrl buttons to highlight certain blocks of text. As soon as I press
one of these buttons, highlight no longer works. Also, if I start highlighting
at the top end of a long piece, then I scroll down to the bottom end, place
my cursor there, press shift before I l/click (to cause the highlight to
continue to the new cursor location) the highlighting is undone.

This only happens in these applications.

I have Vista with the same problems you mentioned. I tried everything, and
realize now the problem was with Microsoft explorer 7. There seems to be a
flaw between Explorer and Vista. I finally had enough, and downloaded
Firefox. The problem is gone. Hope this will help you as well.
