How do you change a document from read only?

I selected create documents as read only when I first opened my excel and now
I can't change it back. I also selected never ask me again, is there any way
to change this back?

what happens if you select the file, and then, instead of clicking the open
button, rather clicking the down arrow, and from the list, select Open?

I think I figured it out, I have to right click and go to Properties, and
uncheck the read only box. I can't believe it was that easy!! But thank you
for your help!!
