Unless you have documented what web pages you visited, there is no way to do
this AFAIK. The History feature is designed to perform this documentation
automatically.

Unless you have taken specific steps to delete them (not easy to do while
Windows is running) Index.dat files contain the URLs of every site you've
ever visited. (among other things)

These are binary files and not viewable in raw form. They can be viewed with
tools like Index.dat QV @
http://support.it-mate.co.uk/?mode=Products&p=index.datqv

They can be huge and as far as I have noticed are in no particular order.
(order they were visited in?)

In XP they are located in the following locations.

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Cookies\index.dat
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local
Settings\History\History.IE5\index.dat
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\History\History.IE5
\MSHistXXXXXXXXXXX\index.dat
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Temporary Internet
Files\Content.IE5
\index.dat
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\UserData\index.dat

Some basic information regarding these files can be viewed @
