How do I write a letter requesting a promotion/

Do you have a sample of letters requesting promotions?

Well for starters, you will need to know who to address it to. Since
you addressed your question to a newsgroup devoted to support of Microsoft
Access, their professional database program, I suspect you need to do more
homework before asking for a promotion or you may address it to the janitor.

I suggest you may want to check a Word newsgroup as MS Word, their
word-processing program would be a much more logical tool to use when
writing a letter.

Sorry. This is a newsgroup dedicated to questions about Access, the
database program in Office Professional. It appears your question may not
be related to these subjects. The Microsoft help system is not all that
clear and may have misdirected you here.

It is best to ask your questions in a newsgroup dedicated to the
subject of your question. You should find people better able to address
your problem there.

Note: It is always best to indicate the name and version of any
program(s) you may be using when asking a question and also indicate the
operating system (like Windows XP or 98) when you ask a question.

This is an ACCESS newsgroup. We help build databases. We don't compose
letters.

I'd suggest that you point out the last time you got a raise and indicate
how your contributions to the company have changed and benefited the
company, thus making you more valuable.

An Aggie! Where do you work? I'm in Houston.
