I would like to work on the same, local copy of a web site from one or the
other of my computers and then publish the result from either machine.
SourceSafe doesn't seem to be an option without a lot of manual work and
there is no Help in FrontPage about this or in the online Help.

You need to either have a local server or publish between machines.

I have XP Pro on both machines and VS.NET 2003. How do I publish to the other
machine?

Thanks,
Ray Stevens

Are the machine networked and can you access one from the other, if yes then you can publish.

If no, you can always open the live/remote site, if it has the FP extensions and publish down to the
machine you are currently using, make your changes and then publish back, then repeat when at the
other machine.

or

you could work directly on the live/remote server

Yes, they are on the same network. I tried to open the site on the other
computer but it would not let me change anything even though the user name
and password are identical and the other FrontPage was not on. So, what your
saying is that I have to "Publish" to the other computer to get it to work?

Thanks,

Each machine must have a user account (with the necessary permissions to make changes, etc.) for the
other computer to access it.
