How do i view queries by description in Access 2007?

In Access 2000/03 i could sort and view my list of queries by the
description, which was entered through a dialog box for each query. I cannot
find the settings for Nagivation pane that allow me to see the description
and sort by like I did in the database window in Access 2000/03..
Any help would be appreciated

How about rightclicking on the titlebar of the navigation pane. You'll see
the various sort options there.

I don't believe you can sort by the description field anymore (when I right
click the nav bar, I see

sort by name, created date, modified date, but not by description....

I never thought of sorting by description, nor have I seen anyone sort by
description. I wonder if this occurs often??

I don't normally sort by description, but it makes a lot of sense to me,
especially if the company has a naming convention that isn't "patently
obvious to the casual observer" (and some definitely do!). Generally the
name I create per the naming convention (Reddick Naming Convention with very
few modifications) gives me about the same ordering as description would
yield.

I too find the description field to be a very usefull way to keep
queries organized. Hopefully Microsoft will issue a patch that
returns this function.

Disappointed

I use the description field to put reminders of steps before running queries
(such as "only run once" for an append). Now they are unnoticeable and I
have to look hard to find them at the bottom of the created and modified
dates--which I couldn't care less about. I'm with you: I hope they put in a
fix. Navigation in the new program is a pain in the neck!

StillLooking

I would like to hear from a Microsoft representative on each of these
discussions with information on solutions in the works or even if we are just
plain out of luck rather than only from those of us who are desperately
looking for a solution.

I just want to add another comment that I agree, and I'm begging MS to return
the ability to sort by descriptions.

I have very long lists of queries that are grouped into various macros. The
query descriptions are used to group and sort the queries, to list them in
the order they run (like Import 01, Import 02; or Reconcile 01, Reconcile 02,
etc.). The names of my queries tell me what they do, but the descriptions
are a great way to easily see the macro they're in and the order in which
they run.

I'm extreeeeemely disappointed that Microsoft dropped the ability to sort by
descriptions in Access 2007 which I recently purchased.

Now I am left with Access 2000 and 2007; whenever I need to do development,
I load the dbs from Access 2000 just so I can sort by Descriptions. This of
course means that I can't update from *.mdb to *.accdb, and I can't take
advantage of a lot of the Access 2007 features like encryption, etc.
