I have a multiple section document in word. I am trying to use the
"Sectionpages" command for page numbering in the footer. I have a
"sectionbreak" between the header and footer on a page and because the footer
(i beleive) is linked to the header it is taking the total number of pages
from the previous section rather than the one that I wish to have numbered.
Any ideas

When there is a continuous section break in the middle of a page, the
SectionPages field always considers that page to belong to the first
section that occurs on the page.

To fake the opposite behavior, you could (a) remove the Same As Next
attribute from the footer of the second section so the two sections
don't share the same footer, and then (b) use the field code

{ = {SectionPages} - 1}

in the earlier section and

{ = {SectionPages} + 1}

in the later section. To make these "nested" fields, you must use
Ctrl+F9 to insert each pair of field braces.
