How do I use a Microsoft publisher document in power-point?

I have several documents in Microsoft Publisher that have been made over the
past few years and used in presentations with overhead projectors. Now I am
purchasing a power-point projector and want to use these documents as part of
my slide presentations. How do I import these documents, and also some from
Word, over to Power-Point?

That's a tough one.

If screengrabs will do it for you -- that is, if you don't need to edit
anything -- you might check out SnagIt from http://www.techsmith.com Or you
can use PrintScrn on your keyboard or Alt+PrintScrn to capture the screen
and then paste into image editing software. Save the image and use
Insert/Picture/From File to insert into PPT.

If you need to edit, you will probably need to recreate the pieces. You
might try saving the Publisher file as HTML and then opening that from
within PPT, but I wouldn't hold my breath that it will work.

For your Word documents, you can spend a little time formatting them in Word
so that they come in better in PPT.
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00246.htm explains how.
