how do I uninstall windows 2000 pro?

I just bought this used computer, it has windows 2000 pro on it.
I want to uninstall or remove 2000 pro from it and install xp?
any help would be nice

Stick your Windows XP CD in the machine and boot the computer with it.
When you get to the point where it identifies the hard disk(s),
partition(s) and existing operating system just have it format the
Windows 2000 partition then install XP in its place.
