how do i uninstall/disable xp fax

how do i disable xp fax so that spooler is stop
trying to install winfax instead, but cannot complate install as spooler needs to be stoped.
 
Go to Add/Remove programs, Add/Remove Windows components, scroll down
to fax services, uncheck, click accept.

To stop spooler go to Start > Run > and type 'net stop spooler'
(without the quotation marks)
