How do I uninstall a network adapter?

I am having problems with my motherboard integrated
network adapter. It's an Intel 10/100 card. I want to
completely remove the device from the OS and then proceed
to re-install the device. I have already tried to update
the driver, rollback the driver. No luck.

I can disable the device but can't uninstall it.

I get "Failed to uninstall the device. The device may be
required to boot up the computer." when trying.

What are my next steps?
