how do I turn off the Slidemaster on one slide in a presentation?

I am pasteing special from Excel into PowerPoint, the slide master stuff is
showing through, I realize I could paste as a bitmap but it looks like the
excel is clearer.

To turn off the content in the slide master:
Right click on the slide, click Background.
Put a checkmark to Omit Background Graphics from master.
Click Apply. Is that what you want?
