When opening a PowerPoint file, I want to see just a list of files without
having the program default to the Preview view. How do I turn off the
default preview view?

Thank you,

What do you mean by list of files? The Outline view, if you have used the
place holders will display the titles for all the slides. Is this what your
looking for?
