how do I turn off bold and underline as a default in outlook

I have Word as my Outlook text editor, when I send new messages the bold and
underline icons are selected as a default, not sure how it got there, any
thoughts??
I haven't been able to turn the defaults off in either Word or Outlook,

So when you just use Word though the text is alright? You should be ablt to
go to Tools, Options and select the Mail Format Tab. There you should see
Stationary and Fonts where you can select the font that Outlook will use as
it's default.
