How do I stop Word adding multiple Attach as Adobe PDF buttons?

Multiple "Attach as Adobe PDF" buttons seem to appear randomly on my Word
toolbar. Sometimes there may be up to a dozen buttons. Is there a setting
somewhere that will enable be to permanently prevent these buttons being
added? Thanks

Hope this helps,

Thank you for the link. Unfortunately, the solutions are beyond my expertise.
It isn't clear to me where the menus referenced are located on my system.

Just go through it a step at a time.

It may be an Add-In template, in which case it would be in the Word or
Office Startup folders.

A starting point would be to activate the control to prompt you before
saving changes to the normal template. This should always be checked!

Tools > Options > Save (tab)

Note, this problem is caused by your Adobe software messing with Word and
not knowing what they were doing.

Word doesn't add any Adobe toolbars - Acrobat does. Multiple versions are
often an indication of an errant add-in - usually the Works add-in
http://www.gmayor.com/multiple_mail_merge_entries.htm demonstrates a similar
issue.

However, the 'Attach as Adobe PDF' is added to Word when used as e-mail
editor, and is placed not by the Word add-in but by the file
PDFMOutlook.dll. You need to locate this file and unregister it eg: (for
Acrobat 6) by typing the following in Windows > Start > Run. (Change the
path if it is located in a different place on your PC)

regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat
6.0\PDFMaker\Mail\Outlook\PDFMOutlook.dll"
