For example in excel if I add the number 4.5 it changes it to 4. 5 so that it it isn't counted in formulas I have set up. It also does this in Word. I can go and manually change each one but it's very fiddly and time consuming if I'm doing large volumes of numbers. Thanks for any help.
Also every time I type in it gets changed to on?

In Excel go into Tools then into AutoCorrect Options. Then under the AutoCorrect tab (which should be showing anyway) go down the "Replace text as you type" box and make sure the box is NOT ticked.

This may help if you have somehow got some auto correct feature by accident.

Fixed it, thank you!
