how do i stop the cursor jumping up

how do i stop the cursor jumping up a line or three every few seconds while i
am typing a word document? i am hoping there is something obvious that i am
just missing. please help!

I have the same problem I posted a similar message this morning also, no
reply as yet though. i'v searched everwhere for an answer to no avail.

This is typical of heavy handed typing on a laptop with a touchpad (and more
rarely of the unwanted interaction of voice recognition). If your touch pad
is so sensitive that you cannot type normally, then turn it off and use a
mouse/track ball. If the latter problem, turn off the microphone.
