How do I stop slideshow from cropping edges of pictures?

In custom powerpoint presentation, the slideshow crops the edges of my
picture so that only a large portion of the picture is missing. How do I make
the entire picture display in slideshow and slide sorter view, as it is
displayed in the normal outline view?

If you are talking about showing on a computer/laptop screen I can't help
you.
However if this is on a projector, often pressing a button on the projector
or remote will take care of that problem . What the button is called varies
among manufacturers but is usually called "Auto" Something...Auto Sync, Auto
Image, APA (Auto pixel adjustment), etc.

A less likely cause on some models (I'm thinking of some Epson models ) is
that you are sending a computer type video signal to the projector but it is
set to accept a different type of video signal. You'd likely want to set it
up so the projector is looking for an "Computer-RGB" type of signal,
"Computer -Video" signal. For that you'd need to dig into the projector's
manual. You'll find it stuck in between reams and reams of irrelevant
information, around page 1926 :>

This may sound a bit silly, but is all of the picture contained within the
boundaries of the 'slide' image. There is often a large area that is 'off
the edge of the slide' which is shown as a gray color in the edit view.
These areas are not displayed in the slide sorter view or when a slide is
projected. Only areas inside the slide borders are projected.
