How do I stop PPT from changing line spacing/font size as I type?

PPT changes the line spacing and font size automatically when I type in a
text box. I would like for this not to happen. How do I stop this from
happening?

If the setting changes everytime you add a new textbox and type something in
it (and these settings aren't what you want), you can have a new setting and
set it as default.

First, add a new textbox. Type something in it.
Right click on the textbox, select Set Autoshape Defaults,
or click Draw > Set Autoshape Defaults.

* Just to add on, after you type something in it, change the settings (eg:
font size). Then set it as default.
