How do I stop outlook deleting incoming messages

Outlook2002 appears to have started deleting (or moving to where I can't find
them?) incoming messages, automatically, from some of my contacts, I haven't
set up any rules to do this - the only way I can currently receive emails
from these contacts is if they Reply to me? Does anyone have any idea how I
can stop this (I have already tried uninstalling/reinstalling Outlook)?
 
Have you checked your folder view settings to make sure you haven't filtered
out these e-mails accidentally or sorted on a field that might appear to hide
newer items? You can also try Advanced Find and search your whole message
store to see if the messages were indeed moved.
