how do i stop excel 2007 from creating .tmp files

ms office 2007 - excel keeps creating temp files every day. they don't go
away either.
how do i stop it from doing that?
 
What are the names of the temp files? (Include the extensions, too.)

Where are these files located (drive and folder)

Are you sure it's excel and not your antivirus program?
 
Rich M, Mine is suddenly doing that also (in Excel workbook)
and I don't know why.
PLEASE post if you find a solution & I'll do same.
