How do I stop Emails with attachments sending multiples?

I have been using Outlook 2003 for many years. Only recently, I have
encountered problems with either sending emails with attachments or
onforwarding emails which contain internal attachments. The emails can
forward to the same user up to at least 15 times until I realise that the
email is still in the Outbox - and still sending!

The only thing I have changed in recent months is to install Trend Internet
Security PRO. Have others who have installed this system had a similar
problem? If so, what can I do to stop my problem (and retrieve my friends!)?
