How do I stop capitalising on a new line after a C.R?

When typing a doc left justified I hit carriage return before the margin to
continue on the next line but Word always changes to first letter on the new
line to a capital and I have to go back and overtype lower case. Is there a
way to stop this please?
Thank you.

There's an Autoformat As You Type option "Capitalize First Word of
Sentence" that you should uncheck, but WHY ON EARTH ARE YOU HITTING
CARRIAGE RETURN AT THE END OF EVERY LINE?????? This is not a
typewriter, it's a word processor!!!!

I bet you also type two spaces after a period. Don't.

As grammatim has said, you can disable the AutoCorrect item, but if you need
to get a new line without starting a new paragraph, insert a line break
(Shift+Enter) instead.

The Enter key indicates end of paragraph, not end of line. You should let
Word wrap lines automatically. As grammatin said, Word is NOT A TYPEWRITER.
