How do I start Microsoft Works to use Works databases?

Can I run Microsoft Works in XP to use database files created
with Microsoft Works in Windows98 SE?

Sorry this is the MS Access (the database program) newsgroup. Try a
newsgroup devoted to the program you are using. You should find people
better able to address your problem there than here. The Microsoft Works
database program has very little in common with Microsoft Access. I suggest
checking with a MS Works newsgroup.

My guess is there would be no problem.

What version of Works you might be using might also be at issue, but I
don't recall there being any file-version compatibility issues.
