How do I start all over again?

Ok, my C: is full of crap, files without purpouse and other things I don't use.
Therefore, I want to start all over again, deleting everything on the C:
drive.

How do I do that?

Simply boot from the WinXP installation CD. You'll be offered the
opportunity to delete, create, and format partitions as part of the
installation process. (You may need to re-arrange the order of boot
devices in the PC's BIOS to boot from the CD.)

However, if you only have an OEM Recovery/Restore CD, you may not

I do have the recovery cd. When I install it, it asks if I wan't to uppgrade
or new install. What are the difference?

And also, since I have XP, I can't go to pure DOS, in order to delete
everything.
To go to DOS, I need to boot from a floppy disk. Is it possible to do the
same with a CD?

An "upgrade" installs the new OS on top of the old OS, keeping most of
the earlier settings and files intact. It may almost keep any problems
intact. A "new" installation ignores the previous OS and creates a new
installation. This is the choice to take to ensure you're given the
chance to format the hard drive. (And you shouldn't have been asked to
decide between an Upgrade or a new installation if you had actually
booted from the installation CD, rather than inserting it while Windows
was running.)

There's no need to "go to DOS." As my first post said, simply boot
from the installation CD.
