how do i sort by company when selcting a name from contacts

When selecting a name from the contact list I am only able to see the name,
display name, and email address columns. How do I add the company column and
delete the display name column

thanks for your post but unfortunately, that is the problem, right click does
not enable the bar to be changed in any fashion (and I cannot find any
command that will enable it to be changed). The only items available are
name, display name, and email address - clicking on search for more columns
only searches for distribution lists - I want to have the ability to see the
list that happens in current view (company) to select a name for an
individual email - any thoughts

If you mean that you click the To button, the Address Book window opens, and
you want to display the company in that list, you cannot. The Address Book
dialogue is not customizable.
