How do I show number of uread items in sent folder?

I set up two different subfolders under my sent items and have a rule in
place to move my sent items to one of these two folders. However, when a
sent message gets moved to a folder, I get a number in parenthesis showing
that there is an unread message. Does this have anything to do with that
rule? How do I change my settings to get rid of this display? I DO NOT need
to know that I have not read a message in my SENT items folder. Thank you
for your help!

how about you add an action to your rule so that it also marks the email as
Read?
