How do I show if I have replied or forwarded a msg in inbox?

My Outlook setup at work shows an icon with an envelope and arrow when I have
replied or forwarded a message, but my Outlook at home just shows an envelope
(read) for all messages. How do I turn on that feature?

After furious head scratching, dt asked:
