When I load a game on my adminstrator account.
And what would be the REST of that sentence? When WHAT?
My kids can play the game but cannot save it.
When you installed the game, did it have an option to install for just
you or for all users? If not, the game developer is too stupid to
understand Windows NT permissions and the game will only run under an
admin-level account.
You might dig into any .cfg files for the game to see if it specifies
a save path. If so, change it to one where you have created a folder
that has permissions for all users (i.e., where the "Everyone" account
has full permissions on that folder).
You could try to right-click on the game's shortcut and use the Run As
option to run the game under an admin-level account; however, many
games use copy protection which might include a loader program (what
is specified in the shortcut) and the actual executable that the
loader will run to start the game - and the second executable won't be
ran under the account specified under the Run As option.
Otherwise, ask the game publisher on how to run under a non-admin
account. Or visit the forum(s) on that game since other users have
probably asked the same question on this so-far *unnamed* game.
