How do I set up Remote Desktop?

Hi - I need a bit of help. I have two networked XP Pro PCs and I am having
a bit of trouble setting up Remote Desktop. This would make it easier when
checking Windows Update, installing the latest anti-virus DATs etc.

I've been in the Remote Desktop Help Files, but I am a bit stumped.

How do I set up a password, and what do I need to do in order to get remote
desktop up and running?

Can you point me to an MVP site that explains how to set up Remote Desktop?

Thanks

Joe

Aloha Joe,

The first step is to go to Start/Control Panel/System.
Once you're there, click on the Remote tab and check
the "Allow users to connect remotely to this computer"
box in the "Remote Desktop" section. If your user ID on
the remote computer is in the Administrators group, then
that is probably all you'll need to do. However, I
recently ran into a problem connecting to a remote
computer even though my ID was in the Administrators
group. I had to enter my ID in the "Remote Users"
field.

Good Luck,

Chuck...
