I am new to Vista and to using Windows Mail...I can't figure out where to get
my incoming and outgoing server information so I can set this thing up.....

You can get your POP and SMTP details from your ISP (Internet Service
Provider). Try there help page they usually have an article on 'setting up
mail with outlook express or windows mail.' It may still be under the title
of outlook express but the procedure is the same for outlook express and
windows mail.

Your email account provider should have the required server names and
settings on their website.
If you tell us who that is, perhaps someone can help.

I have the same problem, my ISP is AOL. Could you please be more specific in the instructions, as I am not very educated in computers. I have had this problem for about 2 yrs. +n
Please tell me exactly how to fix it.

So if my ISP is AOL what do I do to find out if my incoming is POP3 or
whatever and my outgoing is SMTP OR WHATEVER? This is so confusing. I
guess
that is why I have stuck with AOL, I started with it, they seem to make
thinks easier to understand and Microsoft & others seems to be so
complicated
for me sometime.
Please help me understand this. Maybe it is just the change that is
complicated.
Help please, this has tortured me for over a year, probably two. Please
tell
me how to do it and not just general info. I will give you more info if
you
need it.

The following sites reference Outlook Express, Windows Mail settings are
exactly the same.
