Your pop3 and SMTP servers are the mail servers for your ISP or mail
provider. It is usually mail.ISP.com or similar. But, to make sure, you
would need to contact them or check there web page for the server names.

Who provides your email address? You have to enter the names of their email
servers and any other info required.
Most email providers have a webpage with instructions.

I am trying to figure out how to do this exact thing I am also trying to
figure out how to do the outgoing mail. I f you have found out how would you
mind emailing me and explaining it to me also?I don't know who to ask and
somehow I stumbled on your question. If you could help I would be so
grateful.

Tina,

You need to go to the WEB page offered by your e-mail service provider that
shows you how to configure your e-mail client. All the data is there. Just
follow their instructions. If after you configured your e-mail and you are
still having trouble, please come back, but you should be ok if you follow
the instructions precisely and completely.

Lincoln actually got it right but was way ahead of his time when he said,
"You can have some of you computer working all of the time and all of your
computer working some of the time but..." It was he that said that, wasn't
it?

You get the configuration information from your e-mail service providers web
help and setup page. You need to go there, follow the steps and set up your
E-mail client properly. If you are still having problem please return with
details like; who is your provider? what error messages did you get (copy
and pasted to this newsgroup). other anomalies.

Thank you very much for your help. I went to my providers web page and did
not find any information.

When I try to send/receive this is the message:

Subject 'Poshi!!', Account: 'secure.emailsrvr.com', Server:
'secure.emailsrvr.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '+OK Server ready
director7.director.iad.mlsrvr.com', Port: 995, Secure(SSL): Yes, Error
Number: 0x800CCC60

The outgoing (SMTP) server should be on port 465 instead of port 995.
You can change the port setting by going to Tools, Accounts, select the
account, Properties, Advanced.
Port 995 is for the incoming (POP3) server.

Thank you so much!!!

Now for some reason, every time I want to check my email, there is a pop up
that asks me for my password and when I write it and click accept it come
right back up and doesnt let me check my email.

This sounds like a different and unrelated problem.
The new problem may be due to interference from your antivirus.
Windows Mail is not compatible with most McAfee and Norton
security programs. Those will need to be uninstalled, NOT just disabled.
