how do I set up my email

I really am illiterate and need some assistance. I currently use
sbcglobal.net for my email and am interested in also having an email account
with microsoft outlook. How do I set up an email account so some emails go to
outlook?

Outlook is just a tool for reading e-mail (among other things). You can use
Outlook to check your SBCGlobal.net account, but Outlook doesn't have an
account of its own.

As for setting up Outlook to check your SBCGlobal mail you should be able to
find step-by-step instructions for that in SBCGlobal's help system.

Call the ISP that you are paying to ask their tech support. They probably
won't support Outlook but do support Outlook Express. So get an account
working in Outlook Express and then configure an equivalent account in
Outlook.
